Synastry Chart

Put two birth charts side by side and see how your planets talk to each other: love, communication, passion and long-term stability.

Person 1

How synastry works

Synastry compares two birth charts by looking at the angles between one person's planets and the other's. If your Venus is in a trine to their Mars, attraction tends to flow. If your Moon squares their Saturn, one of you may feel the other is cold at times. Each contact describes a part of the relationship.

How we score it

We find the major aspects (conjunction, sextile, square, trine, opposition) between Sun to Pluto and the Ascendant in both charts, using tight orbs. Then we group them: Venus, Moon and Sun contacts for love, Mercury for communication, Mars and Pluto for passion, and Saturn, Jupiter and Moon-Moon for stability. Harmonious aspects add more; for passion even tense aspects add heat; tense Saturn aspects take away from stability.

It's a Western method. In India, marriage matching is usually done with kundli matching (36 gunas), which is a different system.

Questions people ask

Do we both need birth times?+

It's better with times (they add the Ascendant), but planet-to-planet aspects work without them.

What's a good synastry score?+

Above 70 is a strong connection. Below 50 means more contacts that need work, which isn't the same as incompatible.

Which aspects matter most?+

Sun-Moon, Venus-Mars, Moon-Moon and Saturn contacts are the classic ones to look at.

Is synastry the same as kundli matching?+

No. Kundli matching is Vedic and scores 36 gunas from both Moons. Synastry is Western and looks at all planet aspects.

Is my data saved?+

The result is saved so you can share it. The share page shows names and the charts, not birth times or places.

Can I get a written reading?+

Yes, there's an optional deep AI reading of the connection.
