Raj Yoga Calculator

Find the classical yogas in your kundli: raj yogas for status, dhana yogas for wealth, Pancha Mahapurusha, viparita and neecha bhanga yogas, and Moon yogas. Each one is rated by strength.

What we check

  • Raj yoga: a kendra lord (1, 4, 7, 10) and a trikona lord (1, 5, 9) joined by conjunction, mutual aspect or sign exchange. The 9th + 10th lord pair is the famous Dharma-Karmadhipati yoga.
  • Yogakaraka: one planet ruling both a kendra and a trikona, like Saturn for Taurus and Libra lagna.
  • Dhana yoga: lords of the 2nd or 11th joined with lords of the 1st, 5th or 9th.
  • Viparita raj yoga: 6th, 8th or 12th lord placed in the 6th, 8th or 12th (Harsha, Sarala, Vimala).
  • Neecha bhanga: a debilitated planet whose sign lord or exaltation lord sits in a kendra from the lagna or Moon.
  • Others: Gajakesari, Budhaditya, Pancha Mahapurusha, Sunapha, Anapha, Durudhara, Adhi, Vasumati, Amala, Saraswati, Lakshmi, Parivartana and Shubh Kartari.

Rules follow BPHS and Phaladeepika. Strength is kept simple: weak if a key planet is debilitated or combust, strong if all key planets are in their own or exalted sign or in kendra/trikona, moderate otherwise. A yoga gives its best results in the dasha of the planets that form it.
